Creating Meaningful Ceremony for Children and Young People Journeying Death and Grief

This is a session for parents who would love to learn about the ways in which death and grief can be held in ceremony in your family.

You may have experienced this before or simply want to put practices in place for when big losses and transitions occur.

Very often children's experiences of death and grief are misunderstood and they are 'sheltered' yet in my experience, children who are given key roles to play in family ceremony and experience and witness healthy family grief have much more grounded integrations of the loss.

In this session, I share Earth based practices which children can take part in to bring meaning to the events in their lives. I also share ancestral altar practices, living memorial, storytelling and planning for ceremonies with children and young people.

I have over 25 years experience working with children and families who have experienced losses. I brought therapeutic storytelling into school and community settings, mentored young carers and will share my own stories from my experiences with my four children.

Each participant will also receive 'Ceremonies of Death and Grief with the Tree Spirits to support your session.
